The Alicante startup Ozeanic, leadered by Jose Ramon Campos, obtains a patent in United States for its innovative portable bottle that purifies water using ozone.
The Ozeanic bottle is the first in the world capable of eliminating 99.999% of viruses, bacteria and other pathogens from water, in addition to neutralizing chlorine. Jose Ramon Campos, engineer and founder of the startup, states: “The protection of the international expansion of the business is strengthened, strategically selecting countries for commercialization, such as Spain, France, Italy and now the United States”. This patent is added to the one already obtained in Spain, reflecting years of work with intellectual property experts.
Ozeanic thus advances in its mission to bring safe drinking water to all communities in the world, consolidating itself as a benchmark in technology and sustainability.
The device not only represents a technological advance, but also a potential solution for the world’s most needy communities. Campos emphasizes: “My long-term hope, and what I work on every day, is that this invention can reach many people and be a small contribution towards solving the global problem of availability of drinking water.”
The importance of this invention is underlined by alarming data: more than 80% of infectious diseases are transmitted through water. This device can change the lives of many people who suffer from diseases due to contaminated water.
After its success in the Spanish market, Ozeanic is working on improving the device and on a detailed plan to introduce it in the American market in 2025. Campos highlights the advantages of the United States market: “Accessing a market of 341 million people with a single language and a GDP per capita more than double that of Europe, provides a unique strategic advantage. “The U.S. culture of innovation and entrepreneurship creates an environment conducive to the introduction of new products and technologies.”
Founded in 2021 with a share capital of €105.000, Ozeanic plans to close a seed round of 2024 euros in 200.000, intended mainly for marketing in Spain and product development. With the US patent in hand, the company is preparing to face the challenges of a competitive market with great potential.
